Daily Rate Contract Position 12 months 2-3 days onsite per week in Cork Our client is seeking a hands-on Business Systems Analyst responsible for supporting, optimizing, and migrating enterprise business systems.
This role combines business analysis, system expertise, and light project coordination to ensure systems are effective, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities Maintain and continuously develop a strong working knowledge of business systems and their associated processes across the organization.
Support end-to-end system migration initiatives, including planning, requirements gathering, and execution.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration scope, timelines, risks, and success criteria.
Act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems, bridging business and technical teams.
Analyse, document, and improve business processes, ensuring systems are configured and used effectively.
Coordinate and support business system activities including maintenance, enhancements, releases, and deployments.
Provide technical and functional support for system upgrades, patches, and new releases, including impact assessment and user readiness.
Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes to minimise recurrence.
Deliver user support for system queries and incidents in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Identify system risks, dependencies, and issues, and escalate appropriately with recommended mitigation strategies.
Capture and respond to user and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous system improvement.
Manage user access and permissions, ensuring compliance with governance and access control policies.
Support system validation, testing (UAT/SIT), and defect management activities.
Assist with internal audits and external inspections by ensuring system compliance and documentation readiness.
Develop and maintain user training materials, including job aids, FAQs, and knowledge base content.
Perform and validate data movement activities (e.g., data migration, imports/exports) with appropriate quality checks.
Define, track, and report system performance and usage metrics.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience (preferred).
4+ years' experience as a hands-on Business Systems Analyst, including system migration or implementation projects.
Experience working with regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, clinical, quality systems) is advantageous.
Strong understanding of business process analysis, system lifecycle management, and data flows.
Demonstrated experience supporting or delivering system migrations, upgrades, or implementations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and preventative solutioning.
Experience coordinating workstreams or small projects (light project management capability).
