As the world leader in serving science, our laboratory professionals bring their commitment to accuracy and quality to deliver groundbreaking innovations.Discover Impactful Work:The role of Scientist II within Microbiology is to perform a variety of complex sample preparation and analysis procedures of pharmaceutical products and proficiently uses analytical instrumentation, calculates and analyses data and records data. Working mainly independently, Scientists will interpret analytical data in regard to acceptability and consistency and set up and maintain analytical instrumentation.A day in the LifePerform a variety of complex sample preparationsIndependently performs microbiology analysis procedures of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations for method verification, stability testing and other studies for analytical testing supportReview and compilation of resultsPerforming work assignments accurately, timely and in a safe mannerTraining on routine operation, maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs, and regulatory procedures and guidelines.Education and ExperienceEducated to a bachelor's degree level in MicrobiologyKnowledge, Skills, Abilities2+ years' relevant industry experience within a GMP laboratory with experience in the following lab testing areas relevant to MicrobiologyExperience in Bacterial Endotoxin test (LAL Gel Clot Test, Kinetic chromogenic, Kinetic turbidimetric, Alternative method (rFC and/or rRC) is a plus)Experience in Microbial Limit Testing, Specified micro-organisms, sterility would be an advantage.Experience in environment monitoring.The ability to plan, schedule and carry out work for successful project completionA positive attitude and ability to work well with othersExcellent attention to detailBe able to communicate effectively and follow detailed written and verbal instructionManage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame.Complete all documentation with clear and accurate language and according to the SOP.Proficient in the operation of the computer and data acquisition programs.Ability to write reports with minimum supervisionOur Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
