About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit Operative to join our team in Belfast. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and disposing of household and commercial waste in a safe and efficient manner, cleaning streets, parks, and public spaces to maintain a clean and tidy environment, supporting gardening and grounds maintenance tasks, including the removal of graffiti, litter, and fly posters, assisting with gritting, leaf clearing, and snow removal during winter months, operating basic tools, machinery, and safety equipment with minimal supervision, reporting incidents, defects, and completing basic paperwork accurately and promptly, engaging with the public and promoting recycling practices within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
* Collect and dispose of household and commercial waste

Requirements:
* At least 1 year's experience in a customer-facing role or similar industry
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Able to follow work plans and make day-to-day decisions with minimal supervision
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Desirable: 2+ years relevant experience in public-facing or safety-related roles may be prioritised
