Interim Campus Development & Operations Manager South Dublin (about 15km south from city centre) | 18-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Salary range of 60-75k depending on experience Our client are a leading educational institution currently preparing for a landmark expansion.
We are seeking a high-calibre project leader to oversee the delivery of their new state-of-the-art theatre build while ensuring their campus continues to operate safely and seamlessly throughout the construction period.
The Role Working directly with the Principal and the senior leadership team, you will serve as the primary bridge between a major construction site and a live school environment.
For the duration of this 18-month contract, you will: Lead the delivery of the new theatre build from planning to completion, acting as the schools project lead in close coordination with regional directors and external contractors.
Assume full oversight of campus facilities management, providing line management to the Facilities and H&S Manager to maintain high service standards during the build.
Develop and execute a campus mobility strategy, redesigning student transport routes and vehicle drop-off points to accommodate the construction footprint.
Champion a proactive health and safety culture across academic and administrative teams, ensuring rigorous compliance with Irish H&S and environmental legislation.
Own the operational and Cap Ex budgets, including monthly reporting, forecasting and the identification of cost efficiencies.
Act as the primary liaison for the landlord, local authorities and planning bodies on all development matters.
Ensure a comprehensive handover at the end of the 18-month term, leaving behind robust systems and documentation for the future of the campus.
What You Bring This role requires a self-starter who thrives on variety - someone comfortable walking a construction site in the morning and addressing a community of stakeholders in the afternoon.
We are looking for: A strong background in Facilities Management (hard services preferred) or Estates Management within a live, regulated environment.
A relevant professional qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or NFQ Level 7 in OSH.
Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects where you have held contractors accountable to strict KPIs and timelines.
The ability to own a budget - not just monitor one - with a sharp eye for procurement and reporting.
Expertise in Irish health, safety, and building regulations, specifically regarding "live environment" refurbishments.
A solutions-driven mindset: you identify logistical bottlenecks early and act decisively to maintain campus safety.
Current eligibility to work in Ireland for the full duration of the contract (visa sponsorship is not available).
