Role OverviewThe BIM Engineer will be responsible for managing and developing BIM systems, ensuring high-quality model coordination, and supporting project delivery through data analysis, reporting, and technical expertise. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement in BIM processes.Key ResponsibilitiesManage BIM software, systems, and renewalsPerform model QA and manage clash detection/reportingProduce COBie data, isometrics, BOMs, GA drawings, and detailing sheetsMaintain object libraries and support federated model coordinationAnalyse 3D model data for quantification, sequencing, and construction workflowsDevelop reports and data tools (Excel/Access/SQL) to track progress and QASupport and train team members on BIM processes and standardsCollaborate with trades, site teams, and stakeholders to resolve design issuesAssist in developing BIM protocols, systems, and continuous improvement initiativesAttend design, client, and site meetings; support project scheduling and planningEnsure compliance with health & safety and QA/QC requirementsContribute to coordinated mechanical and electrical layouts and installation planningRequirementsTrade background (5+ years) with strong IT skillsDegree/diploma in Engineering or BIM with ~3 years’ relevant experience ideally in mission critical projects (data centres/life sciences)Proficiency in MS Excel and BIM/CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
