Job Overview:
This role focuses on promoting energy efficiency and sustainability across various initiatives.
The position reports to the Technical Lead and requires collaboration with key site functions including Maintenance, Capital Projects, Automation, Operations, Quality, and EHS departments.
Key objectives involve ensuring compliance with regulatory agency policies and standards, maximizing energy consumption efficiency, and conducting energy audits to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Participate in equipment design reviews to ensure energy-efficient installations meet site requirements.
* Conduct energy assessments to identify areas for conservation and efficiency improvements.
* Develop and implement energy management strategies and systems to monitor and reduce energy consumption.
The successful candidate will have a strong relationship with site teams and contribute to creating a sustainable work environment.
Responsibilities:
Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality, safety, FDA, HPRA, EPA regulations and company policies.
Maximize energy consumption efficiency, identify projects with acceptable payback periods.
Conduct energy audits to evaluate energy use, costs, or conservation measures.
Implement lifecycle assessments, carbon footprint analysis, and greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting.
Ensure site compliance with reporting and implementation of the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS).
Requirements:
Strong understanding of energy systems, energy efficiency, and sustainability principles.
Proficiency in data analysis, energy auditing, lifecycle assessment, and ISO50001.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a systems-thinking approach.
Effective communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
