The Role – Welding Inspector
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure production welding and material traceability is recorded daily and entered to databases and verified.
Perform welding inspections on high-purity stainless steel piping systems using the latest technologies and techniques.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure the integrity of all piping systems.
Maintain accurate records of all welding activities, including weld logs, inspection reports, and other documentation.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Perform on-site Audits.
Ensure the project-specific quality plans are implemented.
Ensure 100% visual inspection of completed welds.
Ensure piping Test Packs and supporting records are produced and completed to the project standard for turnover.
Co-ordinate NDT % testing of site welding.
Co-ordinate with the construction team system walkdown and snagging ahead of pressure testing.
Audit and sign off weld logs and weld maps, inspection, and NDT for turnover.
Person Specification
Education, Training & Experience
Background in quality inspection highly desirable
Welding experience highly desirable
Background in pharmaceutical/semi-conductor
Ability to read and understand P&IDs
Ability to read and understand Isometrics
Ability to use tracking software such as EIDA
Safe pass.
Manual Handling – Valid.
IPAF / MEWP.
At least 3- 5 years' experience within the field.
Must have high-purity pipefitter experience.
