With both senior teams targeting qualification for the 2026 World Cup and the Olympics in 2028, and hosting international events, the role offers high visibility and impact.The OpportunityThis is a rare chance to shape the future of Irish hockey. Reporting into the Board of Hockey Ireland, the CEO will lead a professional team and work closely with the Board to drive strategic growth, enhance performance, and build a commercially sustainable organisation. This role requires a dynamic leader who combines integrity, strategic foresight, and business acumen with a deep passion for sport and community engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & GovernanceLead Hockey Ireland's strategic planning and execution, ensuring alignment with its vision, values, and long-term objectives. Uphold the highest standards of governance, integrity, and transparency while fostering strong relationships with the Board, government bodies, commercial partners, and the broader sporting community.Commercial Growth & Strategic OversightProvide executive leadership and strategic direction for the organisation’s commercial activities. Oversee and support the Commercial Director in driving sponsorship, digital engagement, and business development initiatives. Ensure all commercial efforts align with Hockey Ireland's long-term strategy, enhance brand value and visibility, and deliver sustainable financial and reputational impact.Operational & Financial StewardshipOversee all aspects of operational delivery, budgeting, and financial management to ensure efficiency, accountability, and long-term sustainability. Lead major events, infrastructure projects, and staffing initiatives that underpin growth and organisational excellence.Performance & Development ExcellenceChampion a culture of high performance, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
