The company is a global leader in sustainability and digital innovation within the building sector, and they are now seeking to hire a Group Financial Accountant.This is a permanent role based at the group head office, operating on a hybrid working model (three days a week in the office).2. The RoleThe Group Financial Accountant will support group reporting and control activities, working closely with senior stakeholders and divisional finance teams.Key responsibilities include:Month-end group reporting and consolidationSupporting interim and year-end statutory consolidationOwnership of key technical accounting areas (e.g. impairments, pensions, IFRS 16)Preparation and review of Annual Report financial disclosuresAcquisition accounting and purchase price allocationsLiaison with external auditorsPreparation and review of UK and Irish statutory accountsDriving reporting system and process improvements3. The PersonQualified Big4 Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience. Experience working within a PLC environment. Strong technical accounting and control focusGroup reporting or consolidation experience desirableStrong communication skills and attention to detailSelf-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
