Job Description: Site Reliability Engineer (Mid – Senior Level)A Financial Services and Investment company based in Dublin is seeking a Mid – Senior level Engineer to join their Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Chapter, which is part of the Enterprise Infrastructure group. This is a hybrid role. A full detailed job specification is available.ExperienceBachelor’s degree or higher in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science); Master’s degree is a plus.Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting highly distributed, multi-tiered systems at scale.Experience with Public Cloud environments, preferably AWS and Azure; certifications are advantageous.Hands-on experience with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes.Strong collaboration skills and ability to build effective relationships across teams.Overall 8+ years of working experience in IT.Experience with cloud services management, usage, and optimization.Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing solutions based in AWS and/or Azure.Experience with programming languages such as Python and Go.SkillsExperience setting up observability and resiliency for platforms and applications.Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, containers, and serverless architectures.Experience with Linux systems administration.Ability to automate tasks using scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.).Experience managing systems with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Chef).Proficiency with modern monitoring tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Splunk).Experience with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.Ability to perform root cause analysis and make decisions under pressure.Experience interpreting large datasets using query languages and visualization tools.Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills, both technical and non-technical.Effective communication skills suitable for technical and non-technical audiences.Passion for site reliability engineering and commitment to reducing toil.
