Accounting Technician/ Trainee Accounting Technician and Admin Support

Summary:

Location: Cork City Centre and Mallow

We are a commercial legal and tax firm looking for an Accounting Technician to join us on a permanent basis. Flexible hours (3 day week).

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, bright individual who is able to work off their own initiative and enjoys a busy and friendly atmosphere with an opportunity to learn new skills.

Role and Responsibilities of the Accounting Technician:

- Data entry on Sage
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Checking client and office balances
- Payroll
- P30 and annual P35 returns on ROS
- Support role partners in financial matters relating to firm including year-end audit
- General administrative support including scanning post

Requirements of the Accounting Technician:

- Accounting Technician qualification (ITI or equivalent) desirable but not essential
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of payroll package such as Thesaurus desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of legal accounts package an advantage
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work off own initiative
- 1 year experience in an office environment
- Experience in the legal sector is not essential
