Job OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Site Manager to act as the client representative on construction sites during the implementation of large-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects across Ireland. This role involves the monitoring, coordination, and reporting of on-site activities performed by contractors, ensuring that all works meet design specifications, quality standards, Irish regulatory requirements, and health & safety obligations.The Site Manager will be responsible for site supervision from ready-to-build to commissioning, ensuring alignment with the project execution plan, maintaining visibility on schedule, risks, and quality topicsKey ResponsibilitiesAct as owner's on-site representative, ensuring the contractors perform in line with contractual obligations.Supervise and document daily activities, contractor performance, deliveries, and quality assurance.Conduct regular site inspections, check work progress against schedule, identify deviations, and raise NCRs or snag lists where required.Coordinate closely with the client's internal teams (engineering, quality, HSE, project management).Ensure compliance with Irish regulations, planning permissions, and national electrical standards (IS Monitor and report on site HSE performance in cooperation with the HSE manager or safety consultants.Support handover processes to asset management and O&M, including site readiness checks and documentation review.Issue weekly site reports, covering progress, risks, weather impact, safety incidents, delivery status, and photographic documentation.Liaise with external stakeholders (DNO, landowners, inspectors, local councils) as needed.QualificationsMinimum 3 years of site-based experience in large-scale solar projects, including >10 MWp ground-mounted installations.Proven track record in client-side supervision or construction oversight roles.Degree or technical qualification in civil or electrical engineering.Familiarity with Irish safety and electrical standards (IS 10101, Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, Construction Regulations 2013).Confident communicator with strong coordination and documentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeWhat we offerAt ILOS, you can expect a dynamic and innovative work environment – right at the heart of the energy transition.
