Job Description:
Windmill Healthcare is currently recruiting for a qualified Clinical Nurse ManagerII or I (depending on experience) to join our Care Team at Killeline Care Centre, Newcastle West, Co Limerick.
Applicants must be currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and be passionate about Gerontological Care.
Duties:
* Ensure the provision of a high standard of care to residents and families, aligned with the mission, vision, and values of Killeline Care Centre.
* Plan, assess, audit, and deliver resident care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team.
* Supervise staff regularly to ensure compliance with clinical standards and maintain strong communication with residents and staff.
* Provide appropriate training, education, development, and induction to all staff at Killeline Care Centre.
* Ensure medication practices adhere to NMBI Guidelines and Killeline Care Centre policies.
* Conduct regular audits and implement feedback and action plans in consultation with the DON/ADON.
* Foster a team dynamic in the Care Centre, promoting collaborative planning and improvement of care and practices.
* Organise staff rosters, understand staffing levels, and ensure compliance.
* Handle complaints appropriately, documenting and following up as required.
Qualifications:
* A registered General Nurse on the NMBI Register or eligible for registration.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Postgraduate Diploma in Gerontology.
* Management qualifications.
* IT skills.
Experience:
* At least five years of post-graduate experience.
* Minimum three years of post-graduate experience caring for older adults.
* In-depth knowledge of the aging process.
* Experience in Psychogeriatric Nursing Care, Psychiatry, or Adult Disabled care.
