Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation.
This role will lead end-to-end project execution for new equipment installations, upgrades, and tooling projects, ensuring alignment with production requirements, budget, and timeline.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Execution
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for tooling and equipment projects.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, maintenance, and suppliers.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Procurement & Vendor Management
Source and evaluate suppliers for tooling and industrial equipment.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Installation & Commissioning
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of industrial equipment and tooling.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements during installation.
Validate equipment performance and handover to operations.
Budget & Reporting
Track project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders and management.
Drive continuous improvement in project execution and cost efficiency.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Proven expertise in tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment specifications.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, SAP, or similar).
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred:
PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
