Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will manage the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationships for materials, plant, and services to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.This is a key leadership role with responsibility for driving efficiency, cost control, and procurement strategy across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and project requirementsManage the end-to-end purchasing process for materials, plant, subcontracted services, and other goodsSource, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining quality and delivery standardsMaintain strong supplier relationships, including monitoring performance and resolving any supply chain issuesPrepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentationWork closely with project managers, site teams, and finance to forecast requirements and manage inventory levelsMonitor market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunitiesEnsure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and relevant procurement regulationsLead, develop, and mentor the purchasing team (if applicable)Analyse spend data and generate reports to support business decision-makingRequirementsProven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager, or similar role (construction/residential experience preferred)Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier evaluationExcellent negotiation and communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesProficiency in Microsoft Office, procurement software, and ERP systemsKnowledge of Irish construction regulations and standards is advantageousLeadership and team management experience preferredDesirableExperience in residential construction or development projectsFamiliarity with supply chain logistics for building materials and plantExperience implementing cost-control initiatives and procurement strategiesWhat's on OfferKey leadership role within a growing residential construction companyCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to shape procurement strategy and drive operational efficiencyStable, long-term career path with progression potential
