Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Piping Design Checker to join our Dublin team. This is a key role that will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and compliance of our designs.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate with other offices as required.
* Develop an understanding of the project scope, deliverables, timelines, hours, etc.
* Produce and check complex piping plans and layouts, piping isometrics sketches, and electronic 3D models for equipment in accordance with project requirements, codes, specifications, and procedures.
* Ensure alignment with P&ID and mechanical requirements, focusing on constructability, model accuracy, maintainability, operability, ergonomics, support type/location, and structural integrity.
* Managing own timelines and awareness of: Iso issue dates, 6-week look ahead, schedule milestones, progress reporting, and tracking.
* Checking: Reject substandard Isometrics Anomalies in Iso format (Auto extracted) MTO format (Auto extracted)
* Apply correct level of scrutiny based on system and LOD requirements.
Qualifications
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum of 15 years' piping design experience with 5-8 years as Lead Piping Design Engineer/Checker.
* Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in the use of Intergraph's SP3D/CADWorx/Plant 3D.
* Experience on International projects working remotely from India with an EPC company.
* Sector experience - Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical/Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API).
* Design experience with clients from Europe and the USA is an advantage.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
