Breast Cancer Clinical Specialist Role
The role requires a qualified nurse to provide specialist care and support to patients with breast cancer.
* Deliver advanced nursing knowledge and skills.
* Offer expert advice and guidance on the psychosocial impact of a breast cancer diagnosis.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
Clinical specialists will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including surgical, medical, and radiation oncology teams, to develop care pathways and best practice guidelines.
Main responsibilities include:
* Providing pre- and post-operative counselling and assistance with prostheses fitting.
* Offering treatment options information, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and endocrine therapy.
* Liaising with primary healthcare teams and participating in multi-disciplinary conferences.
