Position OverviewAs the Head Coach, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the developmentand performance of our divers and assistant coaches. You will be responsible forcreating and implementing competitive and non-competitive diving trainingprogrammes, fostering athlete development across multiple squads and ensuringthe overall success of the Club. The Head Coach will possess excellent leadershipskills, be passionate about diving and support athletes to achieve their maximumpotential.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development and Implementation:Develop and implement individual performance goals for various agegroups and skill levels and create monthly lesson plans for pool anddryland timeOptimise the Pool / Dry-land time to ensure the most effective use ofthe facilitiesProduce an annual competition / training camp program that includesand develops all competitive club membersCoaching and Athlete DevelopmentMonitor and evaluate diver progress, providing individualizedfeedback, guidance and adjustment to training, as neededLead and mentor the Assistant Coaches, providing support, guidanceand feedback to ensure consistent high standards of coachingFoster a positive and inclusive Club and team environment thatencourages personal growth, good sportsmanship and a strong workethicCompetition and Event ManagementPlan and coordinate participation and selection of athletes and/orteams for competitions and training campsTake a lead role in setting competition goals and targets to athletes,parents and committee membersAttend diving competitions, at all levels, providing on-deck coachingand support to athletes and undertake judging duties as requiredQualifications And SkillsEducation and Certification:Swim Ireland Level 2 Coaching Certificate for Diving orrecognised international equivalentValid Swim Ireland / Sport Ireland Safeguarding Level 1 CertificateCertified Garda vetting with Swim Ireland credentialsExperienceCoaching experience at a competition level, with a proven trackrecord of successExperience in a leadership role, managing teams and working withathletes of various ages and abilitiesKnowledge of Health and Safety regulations in relation to Diving andDry Dive trainingSkillsStrong understanding of diving techniques and training methodsExcellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to motivate and inspire athletes and Assistant CoachesHow to Apply: please send your CV to View Job Here
