We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our commercial team in Sligo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.
Main Responsibilities:
* Liaise with customers and project managers to ensure smooth project progression.
* Measure, price, negotiate, and agree budgets and costs for variations to project scope.
* Verify project costs are accurate and raise/resolve queries where necessary.
* Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with various construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions.
* Produce and maintain up-to-date procurement schedules to facilitate efficient project execution.
* Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyze subcontractor quotations, and make recommendations for placement of orders.
* Conduct reconciliation of cost and value to date/forecast to keep the management team informed of project performance.
Requirements:
* Hold a Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management.
* Motivated, driven, and works well within a team environment.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
* At least 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience.
