EPS requires a Treatment Plant Operator in the West Cork region.
The role requires a good understanding of both the Water and Wastewater Treatment processes. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Routine operational duties and regular maintenance tasks
* General duties inside and outside in all weather conditions
* Process monitoring, record keeping, and sampling
* Heavy manual work may be required occasionally
* Process control, equipment operation, monitoring, and basic mechanical maintenance and repair
* Daily laboratory testing of water parameters
* Proficiency in computer use for plant trend analysis on SCADA and other software, including LoneWorker and IFS
* Following formal procedures and safe working methods
* Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and bank holidays
* Participation in stand-by and call-out rota
* Other duties as assigned
Skills / Attributes:
* Good reading, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Computer literacy, including spreadsheets and basic software
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* Willingness to learn and develop in the water industry
Requirements:
* Experience in wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance or similar processes
* Experience with mechanical and electrical plant operation
* Residency in the area, Safepass, and a full clean driving license
