Instrumentation Engineer Job Overview
This is a leading international engineering and project management firm with offices in various locations.
About the Role
* Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective solutions.
* Provide support to proposals as required.
* Assemble and manage bid, approval, and construction issue instrumentation packages in an efficient manner.
* Mentor instrumentation engineering staff at junior and intermediate levels, if required.
* Check other instrumentation engineers' work for accuracy and quality and undertake peer reviews.
Responsibilities
Requires extensive contact with clients, vendors and project field personnel. Attend meetings and participate in site visits to monitor instrument installations.
Direct and/or participate in site visits to review and sign-off instrument installations.
Requirements
* A degree in Instrumentation Engineering or similar discipline.
* 10+ years of experience in heavy industrial engineering design.
* Demonstrable advanced experience in instrumentation engineering design services including but not limited to layouts, cable containment, block diagrams, system architecture, Atex/hazardous areas, clean room applications.
* Proficient in SPI & digital project delivery.
* Advanced knowledge of applicable instrumentation engineering codes, standards and practices.
* Commercially aware and able to undertake value engineering activities.
