Purpose of the role:The Grade VII - Assistant Financial Accountant will be a senior member of the Finance Department team and will be assigned the responsibility and accountability for the accounting accuracy and full and complete reconciliation of a selection of the following balance sheet accounting profiles e.g. current asset (including bank reconciliation and liquidity management), current liability, capital/fixed asset accounting etc. The post holder will also be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation and compliance of one or more of the functional departments within the Finance unit. Monthly actual reporting and analysis in a timely manner will also be a core function of this role. The post holder will be involved in capital projects as well as other ad hoc projects. The post holder will work with the other grade VII in the compliance department to ensure all of the above duties are completed and the compliance office has appropriate grade VII coverage.
