Facilities Project Manager

Atlantach Technical Services is looking for a Facilities Project Manager to join us in Athlone.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and support the planning, coordination, and execution of facilities, utilities, and infrastructure projects across the medical device manufacturing site, ensuring minimal disruption to GMP-regulated operations.
Ensure all projects are delivered in compliance with site safety standards, FDA and ISO requirements, environmental regulations, and internal engineering and quality procedures.
Manage facilities upgrade and infrastructure improvement projects across manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, office, and support areas, including cleanroom and controlled environments where applicable.
Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Validation, EHS, and external contractors to define project scope, deliverables, schedules, and operational requirements.
Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, timelines, and milestones for facilities, utility, and building services projects, including HVAC, compressed air, purified water, electrical, and life safety systems.
Coordinate contractors, installation teams, and commissioning activities for site improvement and upgrade projects, ensuring work is completed safely, in compliance with permit-to-work systems, and aligned with validation and change control requirements.

Requirements
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities project management, engineering, or utilities roles within a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sector.
Proven experience managing facilities and utility systems in a GMP-regulated environment, including HVAC, cleanroom systems, compressed air, electrical distribution, water systems, and building management systems (BMS).
Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements including GMP, EHS standards, FDA expectations, and ISO within a medical device manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience coordinating contractors, commissioning activities, and infrastructure upgrade projects while maintaining operational continuity in a live manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Quality, Validation, Engineering, EHS, and external vendors and contractors.
Strong organisational, planning, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, drive project delivery, and proactively resolve issues in a fast-paced regulated environment.
