Wills Bros is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join the delivery of the West Apron Vehicle Underpass (WAVU) at Dublin Airport — a landmark infrastructure project shaping the future of airport operations. This is a unique opportunity to work on a major project in a live operational environment, leading the delivery of structural works while ensuring quality, safety, and programme compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor quality control procedures for all phases of the project, including materials testing, workmanship, and compliance with design specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and audits, and prepare reports for project management.
Identify and address any quality‑related issues or defects promptly, providing solutions and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
Work closely with the project management team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and adherence to project timelines.
Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures within the project and the company.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on quality assurance and control, preferably in road or large infrastructure projects.
In‑depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards, as well as Irish construction regulations including ISO 9001 standards and other relevant quality management systems.
Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Familiarity with industry‑standard software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and quality management systems.
