Mechanical Design Engineer Position Summary
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing products in accordance with customer specifications.
Main Responsibilities:
* Creation of technical specifications, drawings and details for customers.
* Coordinating the development of prototypes.
* Collaboration with R&D to improve efficiency.
* Optimization of designs based on customer requirements.
* Preparation of instructions and drawings for use on the production floor.
* Management of technical specifications.
* Ensuring design specifications are met by working closely with production.
Requirements for this role:
* Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Experience working with CAD software such as CREO etc.
* Desirable: experience in a manufacturing environment/manufacturing best practice.
* Experience with internal standards and quality control metrics.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
