Overview:
We are delighted to be working with a luxury 5-star resort in West Clare that is looking to appoint a Financial Controller to its growing Team.
This hands-on role supports the Director of Finance and oversees reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and team leadership.

Key responsibilities:
* Lead and develop a finance team of 5 people.
* Oversee Month-End, Accounts Payable, Payroll (weekly/monthly), Owner & membership billing, and accounts receivable.
* Produce monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary; prepare accruals, prepayments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
* Manage weekly cashflow projections, banking operations and cash control processes.
* VAT preparation, support year‑end accounts and annual budget preparation.
* Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and present financial updates to management.
Qualifications:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE in the hospitality industry.
* Proven experience as an Assistant Financial Controller / Financial Controller in a luxury hotel or resort.
* Strong commercial, analytical and technical skills; highly proficient in Excel and financial systems.
* Leadership experience, excellent communication, and the ability to perform under pressure with accuracy and integrity.
