The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations with the support of the external accountancy firm.
Ideal role for a Junior Accountant looking for experience across all areas of finance in a dynamic and growing business.
Job Responsibilities:
Processing invoices, managing supplier payments, customer billing, and reconciliations.
Managing RCT submissions and ensuring compliance with Revenue regulations.
Preparing and filing VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
Setting up contracts and managing payment structures for sub-contractors in compliance with Irish tax law.
Supporting monthly payroll processing using payroll software
Daily use of QuickBooks for recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and generating financial reports.
Preparation of monthly management accounts, P&L reports, and cash flow statements for review by external Accountant.
Supporting year-end audits by preparing required documentation and liaising with external auditors.
Ensuring accurate coding and posting of transactions.
Supporting the wider team on various finance projects and administrative tasks as required.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role, ideally within an SME environment.
Qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA or Part-Qualified working through exams.
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting platforms.
Familiarity with RCT, VAT, and Irish tax legislation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and ability to work independently.
A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
