SHESQ Advisor
Overview:
The Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for leading the strategic and operational management of Health & Safety across all divisions of Killeen Civil Engineering.
This role ensures full regulatory compliance, drives continuous improvement in safety performance, and champions a proactive safety culture throughout both organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and standards across all operations.
* Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide H&S policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks.
* Lead internal audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring timely corrective actions.
* Promote a strong safety culture through training, engagement, and leadership at all levels.
* Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
* Report regularly to senior leadership on compliance status, risk trends, and cultural initiatives.
* Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Group's ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System accreditations.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a senior Health & Safety role, preferably in a multi-site or group environment.
* Strong knowledge of relevant H&S legislation and best practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Relevant professional certifications in Health & Safety.
