Job Title: Global Transportation Product Lead EngineerLocation: Limerick, IrelandThis position seeks a seasoned Transportation Product Lead Engineer to drive the implementation, support and evolution of transportation technology solutions across J&J’s supply chain processes. The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, controls technical aspects of implementations for core outbound (XPS) and inbound transportation applications, and leads software configuration and carrier onboarding initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine overall Engineering and Technology architecture, roadmap, and technical decisions for the product in coordination with the Transportation Product Owner, Product Group Engineer and BU Architect.Work closely with the Business Product Manager to define Transportation Product strategy and vision.Lead the implementation of transportation processes.Onboard various transportation carriers into the system.Interact with development and support teams.Gather and translate carrier requirements to design solutions that meet business needs.Drive development and selection of technical solution options from the approved list, test concepts with users, document, recommend and present system enhancements.Lead root cause analysis of major incidents, providing solutions to increase system availability and customer satisfaction.Apply Agile methodologies to configure solutions such as SAP and related technologies, and to test development/customizations.Observe technology trends and conduct research spikes for new capabilities and innovation opportunities.Serve as the single point of contact for ISRM, TQ (Q-CSV), vendors, and enterprise platform owners.Minimum Requirements6+ years of relevant experience.Critical SkillsFunctional background in transportation processes.Knowledge of supply chain processes.Effective communication across all organizational levels.Ability to work with both business users and technical stakeholders (including high-level understanding of ABAP code).Extensive experience in Agile development, including team creation, leadership, product/platform standards, governance processes, and change management.Experience gathering requirements and translating them into a product/platform vision through deep expertise in development, engineering, and UX.Experience leading the selection, build, and integration of platforms including data management, API architecture/design, and cloud-native technologies.Experience owning products/platforms over their lifecycle in a multi-team/channel context.Understanding of enterprise application processes and procedures.Commitment to Our Credo, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, ensuring the recruitment and development of talent reflecting the communities served.Preferred SkillsExperience with SAP S/4, SAP S/4 eWM, .Net, SQL, REST API.Understanding of Distribution Center operations.Experience in an Agile environment using Jira.Experience working with transportation (XPS from SCT, SAP TMS) and warehouse (SAP eWM) solutions, including configuration.Working knowledge of .Net.EducationMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
