An exciting opportunity for an experienced Vision Engineer to join our client, a leading multinational lifesciences company on a permanent contract. This role will be based onsite at one of their major clients in Fermoy, Cork. Role Requirements: Support the implementation of Machine Vision projects (mainly Cognex Insight Spreadsheet environment). The Vision Engineer will conduct code review/debugging of a wide spectrum of bespoke vision jobs/algorithms. Investigate issues and develop solutions for Machine Vision applications. Perform characterization, optimization, emulation, and data analysis on proposed Vision jobs. Collaborate with other internal functions (e.g., QA, Operations, Engineering). The Vision Engineer will standardise best machine vision practices across the site. Lead vision-related obsolescence upgrade projects. Provide vision training for engineering personnel. Role Requirements: Degree in Engineering or Science equivalent. Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent is desirable. Minimum 5 years of machine vision engineering work experience, preferably in a regulated high-volume automated manufacturing environment.
