Overview of role:UPMC Aut Even Hospital is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager II for Surgical Day Care on an 11-month fixed-term contract.
The CNM II will play a key role in service planning, coordination, and management of activities and resources within the clinical area.
The role involves leading the implementation and delivery of high-quality care.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Professional / ClinicalManage patient care ensuring professional standards using evidence-based care planning.Provide leadership and clinical expertise.Coordinate, assess, plan, deliver, and review patient care with staff.Ensure safe nursing care within NMBI guidelines.Participate in team meetings and collaborate across healthcare teams.Engage with patients, families, and carers in treatment and care.Supervise nursing activities and ensure standards are met.Maintain confidentiality and promote a welcoming environment.Managerial Responsibilities:Supervise and deploy staff effectively.Manage communication and team building.Lead practice development and implement change.Develop and review policies and procedures.Support the Nursing Management structure and maintain records.Other Responsibilities:Participate in on-call rota.Oversee staff development and education programs.Promote evidence-based practice and quality standards.Lead clinical governance initiatives including risk management.Familiarize with policies and participate in lean projects.Ensure safety and participate in audits and quality improvement.Adhere to health and safety regulations and information governance policies.Qualifications & Experience:Registered nurse with NMBI.Management qualification or willingness to undertake.Minimum 5 years' experience in a medical environment.Previous management experience required.Experience with change management and continuous professional development.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Equal Opportunity and Benefits:UPMC is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
