Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Job Description
Duties
1. Volunteer Record Management: support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date digital records of volunteers across all departments (e.g. board, committees, fundraising, spokespeople, care centre, peer supporters, and branch volunteers) and ensure key documentation such as volunteer agreements, codes of conduct, and confidentiality forms are stored securely and in line with data protection policies.
2. Training Coordination Support: assist with the organisation and scheduling of volunteer training sessions, including safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, and role‑specific training, maintain records of completed training and follow up with volunteers as required.
3. Branch Administration: maintain a central calendar of branch Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and other key volunteer‑related events, support communication and coordination with branch volunteers and officers.
4. Volunteer Recruitment Support: keep up‑to‑date lists of expressions of interest for volunteer roles, assist in responding to potential volunteers, ensure volunteer role descriptions are current and properly filed, and provide administrative support during volunteer recruitment and onboarding processes.
5. Reporting and Monitoring: assist in preparing reports on volunteer engagement and participation for management or funders, help collect and maintain data to support volunteer monitoring and evaluation activities.
6. Volunteer Recognition and Engagement: support the planning and delivery of volunteer appreciation and recognition events, help with communications and initiatives that promote positive volunteer experiences and engagement.
Training and skills development:
* CE participants in this role will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to develop practical administrative and communication skills.
* Training and development opportunities include: CRM (Salesforce) training – learning to maintain and manage volunteer data.
* Office administration skills – including document management, record‑keeping, and meeting coordination.
* IT skills – including use of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, email systems, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Communication skills – written and verbal communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
