Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: End of September / Start of October 2025
Working Patterns: 39 hours per week, with 1 in 3 weekends
OOH/On-Call: No OOH or On-Call Duties
Salary: Up to €60,000 depending on experience
This position is best suited to a veterinary surgeon with prior experience in first opinion practice. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for new graduates or those requiring mentorship.

Our facilities include:
Two fully equipped operating theatres
In-house laboratory
Ultrasound, radiography, ECG, blood pressure monitoring
Dental suite with dental x-ray
Endoscopy and laparoscopic equipment
Physiotherapy services and more
We are a supportive and collaborative team of 9 Vets, 8 Veterinary Nurses, 2 Animal Care Assistants, and 9 support staff. We take pride in fostering a positive work environment that promotes continuous learning, clinical excellence, and genuine care for our patients and their families.
Requirements
VCI registered Veterinary Surgeon available to start late September or early October 2025
Experienced in small animal practice - all levels of experience considered (not suitable for new graduates)
Confident in both medical and surgical cases
Strong team player with a patient centred approach to care
