Your Role:
As an Intellectual Property Paralegal you'll be a crucial part of the team in managing and operating the patent evaluation process, including dispatch and receipt of standard essential materials to and from a global network of external law firms, and performing a varied workload of data entry and quality checks. You'll be part of the operations team responsible for providing correct and timely distributions of royalties for standard essential patents to platform licensors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Working with patent owners globally to receive and process a substantial portfolio of patent evaluation requests.
* Managing external law firms in the patent evaluation process.
* Perform data entry and quality checks in relation to patent evaluation management processes.
Required Educational Background and Experience
* At least 3 years’ experience in a paralegal role (preferably as a patent paralegal or other Intellectual Property paralegal)
* Previously worked in an in-house patent or IP department, or alternatively at a patent or trade mark private practice
* Background of working with patent information provider data, such as from Derwent, Clarivate, CPA or the like, and/or searching for and processing data from IP office registers would be a significant added advantage for this role
* Experience of external customer communications

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Motivated, disciplined, with high personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
* Ability to multi-task, manage change, delays and unexpected events, with a focus on problem resolution
* Proficient in MS Office including Excel, and web-based platforms and databases, such as Dynamics 365 Business Central would be an advantage (full training in all tools will be provided)
