This role requires a Design Project Engineer who will lead design projects to remediate issues, upgrade existing infrastructure or add new services.
The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills and the ability to provide recommendations despite uncertainty. Strong engineering judgment and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.
A background in designing, constructing, operating or maintaining mission-critical facilities, especially data centers, is required. Experience as a resident design engineer or hands-on design consultant is also desired.
Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region, as well as EPMS/SCADA/BMS Controls system experience, are beneficial.
This role involves working on multiple projects with different teams responsible for various aspects of data centers.
A day in the life includes interacting with teams such as internal and external design engineering teams, server hardware teams, environmental health and safety teams, field engineering, and controls engineering.
The successful candidate will mentor junior engineers and oversee their work while promoting standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
