OverviewWe are working with one of our partners, a financial services organisation, in their search for a hands-on DevOps Engineering Lead to own and deliver Kubernetes-first platforms and modern CI/CD pipelines. You'll set technical direction, lead by example, and enable multiple engineering teams to deploy and operate containerised applications securely and at scale. This is an initial 6-month daily rate contract engagement.ResponsibilitiesLead design, deployment, and operation of Kubernetes platforms (EKS / AKS / GKE).Own and improve CI/CD pipelines for containerised workloads.Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption using Terraform, Ansible and configuration management tools.Define standards and best practices across DevOps, Kubernetes, and cloud-native delivery.Guide and support development teams adopting Kubernetes and modern deployment patterns.Partner with Security and Architecture teams to ensure compliance and production readiness.Mentor engineers and act as a senior technical escalation point.Skills RequiredKubernetes & Containers: Cluster design, Helm, ingress controllers, RBAC, security best practices.Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible (or similar).Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (hands-on).CI/CD & Automation: Jenkins, Git-based pipelines, automated testing and deployments.Observability & Reliability: Logging, monitoring, alerting.Security: Secrets management, SSL/TLS, policy enforcement.Experience7+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.Proven leadership of DevOps or platform initiatives.Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production.Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines.Financial services experience required - understanding regulatory, compliance, and operational needs.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Title DevOps Engineering LeadLocation Hybrid / Dublin - 2 days / week onsiteClient Industry Financial ServicesContract 6-month daily rate
