JCPS Mechanical Ltd require a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, to oversee the financial and contractual aspects of our mechanical projects. This role is a full-time permanent position and will be based out of our head office/warehouse in Ballycoolin, Dublin 11.
Job Details
· Budget & Cost Management:
· Analyse tender Bills of Quantities (BoQs) to establish construction budgets for procurement.
· Track project costs against budgets on a monthly basis and provide detailed financial reports.
· Compile and secure agreement on contract adjustments, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
· Contract & Stakeholder Management:
· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on all commercial aspects of projects.
· Manage contracts, collateral warranties, bonds, and other contractual obligations.
· Evaluate subcontractor agreements, focusing on risk, program timelines, and design responsibility.
· Payment & Reporting:
· Prepare, submit, and achieve certification for Monthly Payment Claim Notices.
· Certify subcontractor payments and maintain accurate control accounts.
· Report on project commercial performance in coordination with the Contracts Manager.
· Present monthly commercial reports to directors during progress meetings.
· Risk & Compliance:
· Identify, analyse, and develop strategies for mitigating commercial risks.
· Ensure all project commercial registers are maintained and kept up to date.
· Monitor cash flow projections and overall commercial performance until project completion.
· Tendering & Estimation Support:
· Prepare Tender Risk Analyses, ensuring alignment with contract documentation.
· Assist the Estimation Department with cost estimates and tender submissions.
· Take off, price, and track project variations and tender returns in a timely manner.
· Client & Business Development:
· Provide expert advice on contractual claims, analysing outcomes and forecasting financial impacts.
· Maintain and enhance client relationships to maximize current and future opportunities.
Criteria
· 5 years post qualification experience.
· Previous experience with MEP contractor.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to work to strict deadlines.
· Excellent organisational and communication skills.
