OverviewO'Connell Court / Oakdene House is a registered Charity which provides sheltered accommodation for 53 residents in its premises at Togher, Cork and for a further 12 residents at Oakdene house off Barrack Street. The Charity is manged by a Director of Services with a mixture of full and part time staff with a voluntary Board of Directors.A major redevelopment funded by Government has recently been completed which will provide 44 self contained units and 46 furnished rooms for residents in Togher.Board opportunitiesWe are seeking new board members with expertise in Management, Finance, Marketing, Social and Community development, and interaction with State and local Public Bodies.ResponsibilitiesThe Board would normally meet once a month for a period of about 2 hours per meeting.The Board commitment involves regular Board meetings and participation in subcommittees as needed.How to express interestExpressions of interest should be made by contacting Rory O Meara, Director Of Services, at rory@oconnnellcourt.ie.
