Due to our continued growth, Grant Thornton Ireland has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager within our Deal Advisory department in the Cork office.
The Deal Advisory team leads across mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory services, valuations, and capital raising, offering strong career development and progression opportunities.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with commercial awareness and attention to detail to become a key part of this growing area of the business.
Responsibilities
Manage buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements across various sectors, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Analyse financial and operational data to identify key business drivers, risks, and deal issues.
Prepare and present clear, concise reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, legal, and operational due diligence.
Develop and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the deal lifecycle.
Support business development activities, including proposal writing and pitch presentations.
Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
Analyse and assist with the preparation of valuation reports.
Assist with sale and purchase mandates, MBO and MBI assignments.
Requirements / Qualifications
ACA / ACCA / CFA qualified or equivalent
5+ years of Transaction Advisory Services (preferably financial due diligence)
Strong project management and leadership capabilities
Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools; experience with Alteryx, Power BI, or similar is a plus
Fluency in English
Excellent communication skills
Industry experience with an interest in returning to a professional services environment
