Job Description:
A leading Irish agri supplier seeks a senior financial accountant to head its finance team. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
Key Responsibilities:
* The senior financial accountant will oversee the preparation of accurate month-end, statutory, and compliance reporting, including Revenue, CSO, and REPAK submissions.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial strategy, and performance analysis to support senior management decisions.
* Ensure accurate accounts payable and receivable management, working capital, FX exposure, credit control, and implement cost and risk control measures.
* Manage system improvements and support team development through effective financial leadership.
Requirements:
* The successful candidate will be qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA with strong technical and analytical skills.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounts role in an Irish industry or practice role.
* Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with financial reporting tools preferred.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across finance and operational teams.
* A keen interest in the day-to-day running of the business.
