We are looking for a Senior RF Design Engineer to join our RF Semiconductor team, based in Limerick, Ireland, who will be responsible for product development of our RF SIPs and MCM products for various markets.
Overview
Context on the role: As a Senior RF Design Engineer, you will perform a full range of product development activities including, but not limited to the duties listed below.
Job Duties
Design and development of RF-ICs, RF signal chains, RF-cores and signal interfaces of such signal chains.
Design of RF signal chains with multi RF / analog components with various semiconductor technologies in a single package.
Simulation of RF signal chains and package models on circuit simulation and EM tools and performing fundamental thermal simulations.
Design evaluation, performing first characterization and detailed analysis.
Preparing required documentation and reports for product development.
Qualifications
B.S. in Electrical Engineering; M.S. preferred.
Typically 2–3 years of related and progressive experience.
Solid understanding of S-parameters, transmission line theory, RF networks, and RF blocks such as switches, attenuators, LNAs, mixers, PLLs, VCOs, and amplifiers.
Ability to innovate, design, simulate and verify circuit performance at behavioral/architectural level, with strong RF understanding.
Experience in circuit design environments such as Cadence or ADS is required.
IC or RF-IC design and/or IC validation experience is a plus.
Skills in electromagnetic simulators (e.g., Sonnet, HFSS, EMPro, EMX) are a plus.
Experience with test equipment and RF characterization is a plus.
Motivated, results-oriented and organized engineer with good writing, presentation and communication skills.
Willingness to learn quickly and work with multinational, multi-time-zone teams with flexible hours.
Willingness to take calculated risks and bias for action, with a collaborative approach to deliver results.
EU citizenship required.
