GEDON Executive is seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Senior Infrastructure Cost Manager to join a prominent International Cost & Project Advisory firm in Dublin. This is an exceptional opportunity to take a pivotal commercial role, managing the financial success of major Transport, Water, and Civils infrastructure programmes across Ireland.
As a Senior Infrastructure Cost Manager, you will lead projects, provide expert cost advice and commercial management from inception to completion, build client relationships, and ensure meticulous cost control, contractual precision, and profitable delivery for significant infrastructure developments in Ireland.
Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership: Lead on all cost and commercial aspects of major infrastructure projects and programmes.
Cost Planning: Develop and manage detailed cost plans, feasibility studies, and whole-life costing for large-scale civil projects.
Contract Administration: Administer complex contracts, including procurement, tendering, and the valuation and negotiation of variations and claims.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting: Prepare accurate commercial reports, cost value reconciliations, and financial statements for internal and client stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with clients, design teams, contractors, and project managers, acting as a trusted commercial advisor.
Mentorship: Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to their professional development.
What You\'ll Bring
Extensive Experience: Proven experience (typically 7+ years) as a Cost Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a construction consultancy in Ireland.
Sector Expertise: Experience on major infrastructure projects, such as transport, civils, or water.
Commercial Acumen: Strong analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Contractual Proficiency: Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC, NEC) and procurement strategies in the Irish market.
Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for managing stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Professional accreditation (e.g., SCSI, RICS) is desirable.
