Reporting To: Supervisor, Production
Work Schedule: Onsite – Carrigaline, IE
Summary of Function and Specific Responsibilities:
The role reports into the Production Supervisor and will support normal production activities as required.
The Job - Summary of Function / Specific Responsibilities:
* Perform assembly of sub-assemblies, module level assembly, and top-level assembly of products to specifications.
* Work from formal procedures, assembly checklists, engineering documentation, and drawings.
* Engage in prototype work under engineering direction.
* Use a range of hand tools to assemble various products with differing mechanical fasteners.
* Utilize torque tools for assembly of specific fasteners.
* Program parts as needed.
* Manual lifting involved.
* Rework specific parts as required.
* Handle components such as PCBs, cables and harnesses, electronic sub-assemblies, heavy metal chassis, connectors, heli-coils, and lock wiring.
* Operate miscellaneous small power and air tools to facilitate assembly.
* Use items like grease, red paint, glues, cements, tape, etc.
* Complete all necessary production-related documentation.
* Packing of cards and units for shipping to customers or subcontractors weekly.
* Perform miscellaneous duties as highlighted by the supervisor.
Note: Specific equipment training will be provided.
Preferable Qualifications & Skills:
* Knowledge of IPC7711/IPC7721 and IPC J-Standard and their applications.
Work Environment:
* The role may involve standing or sitting for extended periods, fine dexterity tasks, manual handling, working with VDU/DSE, repetitive movements, and working with controlled chemicals.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven track record of commitment to quality and production goals.
* Positive, flexible approach with good interpersonal skills.
* Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience/knowledge of assembly functions preferred.
* Detail-oriented.
* Problem-solving capabilities.
* Good time management.
* Personable, able to deal pleasantly with a variety of people.
