This role is part of the Product Development Tools organization, which builds software to improve the productivity of Workday Product Engineering teams.

The Product Development Tools organization develops tools that empower nearly 3,000 engineers in the Workday development community, enabling rapid development, testing, and shipping of high‑quality products.
About The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help craft the next generation of Workday Developer Tools, shaping the development lifecycle for other developers who build our products. You will design robust solutions, troubleshoot complex systems, and ship tools that enhance our continuous delivery platform.

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of software development experience, leading technical initiatives and designing scalable, maintainable systems.
8+ years of Object‑Oriented and/or Functional Design and Programming experience (Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Scala, etc.).
Deep expertise in API development and microservices design, build, and deployment.
Experience with automation, CI/CD, or web testing tools.
Ability to deliver on time in a fast‑paced agile environment.
Proven skill in writing technical design documents and collaborating within a development team.
BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
Other Qualifications
Test‑focused with strong TDD, unit and system testing, debugging, and profiling skills.
Curious about leveraging cutting‑edge technologies to reduce friction and improve the development lifecycle.
Experience with IDEs, build, and CI/CD tooling (IntelliJ, Git, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, Harness, Artifactory).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), containerization (Docker), and data engineering pipelines (ETL).
Good code‑review skills and a capacity to both provide and receive constructive feedback.
Workday Pay Transparency Statement (For EU Locations Only)
Primary Location Base Pay Range: €86,400 EUR - €129,600 EUR (Ireland). Compensation may include a bonus plan, role‑specific commission or bonus, and annual stock grants.
