Engineering Manager – REF: 2536
We are recruiting an Engineering Manager to join our Energy, Utilities and Renewables Projects team. The successful candidate will join an established business and have the opportunity, as their career progresses, to lead high value and high‑complexity projects.
The Engineering Manager will have a client‑facing role. The responsibilities for the role are as follows:
Client Relationship Management and Business Development - Maintaining and growing the business by managing existing workloads and winning new projects.
Leading a team of engineers with responsibility for delivering projects, managing performance and developing competency.
Project lead for Design & Contract management from conceptual phase through to project completion. Leading the project engineering team for the development of design calculations, drawings, specifications and design reports.
Typical projects will include:
Power Generation including CHP and peaking plants
Renewables energy such as biogas, biomass, solar and hydro
Energy audits and design and implementation of energy‑saving initiatives
Industrial utilities design including HVAC, steam, refrigeration and compressed‑air systems
The Engineering Manager will have the opportunity to progress their career within Fingleton White to be involved in the various business sectors across a wide range of projects.
The location for this role will be in our Cork office; however we will also consider applications for our Galway office.
Requirements:
Engineering degree (Level 8 or higher) in Mechanical, Process, or a similar discipline relevant to the specification above.
10+ years post‑graduate and relevant design experience. CEng would be beneficial but not essential.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Problem‑solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
Full driving licence and own transport required.
Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
