Apprenticeship Opportunity
This apprenticeship program is designed for individuals who are passionate about working with heavy vehicles and want to develop their skills in this field. The apprentices will be trained to maintain the various systems associated with modern public service vehicles, including day-to-day repairs and preventative maintenance tasks, as well as vehicle diagnostics and fault finding.
The apprenticeship comprises of seven phases, three off-the-job and four on-the-job. During all of these phases, the apprentices will be assessed on a structured ongoing basis.
On-the-job training takes place at designated garages, while off-the-job training is provided by reputable educational institutions. The apprentices will acquire the ability to maintain complex vehicle systems and develop essential skills such as problem-solving and time management.
To be eligible for this program, applicants must be at least 16 years old and have obtained the required minimum standards in mathematics, communication, and personal effectiveness. They must also demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in heavy vehicle maintenance.
