Robert Walters are working exclusively with a not-for-profit organisation to hire a Finance Director with an exceptional commercial acumen where you can drive success.
In this role you will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy for this sporting organisation.
Although sports experience is not essential, a strong commercial track record and acumen is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the finance team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO, SLT, Board, and committees.
Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and cost control.
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, banking covenants, and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely completion of audits with clean opinions.
Prepare long-term cash flow forecasts under various scenarios to manage risk and maximize opportunities.
Direct procurement activities to ensure value for money while adhering to national/EU regulations.
Provide financial oversight for joint ventures and partnerships.
Present financial analysis and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
Drive modernization efforts by implementing efficient systems, policies, and processes.
Key Requirements
10+ years of senior leadership experience in finance or related fields.
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
Demonstrable expertise in financial strategy development, risk management, and analysis.
Strong interpersonal skills with significant experience managing teams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
Proactive mindset with a results-driven approach to achieving organizational goals.
