Occupational Therapy plays a key role in promoting recovery, independence, and improved quality of life for service users.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join our client’s acute Mental Health Team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to service users, supporting recovery-focused treatment within a multidisciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
* Support service users in developing skills for daily living, independence, and community integration.
* Work collaboratively with service users, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT).
* Contribute to care planning, clinical meetings, and service development initiatives.
* Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and service standards.
Requirements
* Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
* CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist (or eligibility to register).
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
* Experience in mental health services (desirable but not essential).
* Commitment to recovery-oriented and person-centred practice.
