We are currently hiring a Medical Scientist – Multidisciplinary for our hospital client in Cork, Ireland .
Responsibilities Participate in the ongoing development of a laboratory service that meets the needs of healthcare professionals and patients, aligning with the mission, vision, values, and strategic plan of the laboratory.
Collaborate with Consultants and the Laboratory Management Team to ensure timely delivery of accurate and high-quality patient results.
Contribute to the operational services within a multidisciplinary laboratory team.
Maintain professional competency and uphold impartiality and ethical standards in all duties.
Handle all patient information with the strictest confidentiality.
Perform duties in line with laboratory policies and take responsibility for the quality of work produced.
Actively participate in and promote continuing education, training, and research within the organisation.
Support the professional development of staff through self-directed learning, formal education, and on-the-job training.
Assist in developing, updating, and reviewing departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Foster effective communication within the laboratory team.
Contribute to the implementation of new ideas, technologies, and methods that support the organisation's strategic objectives.
Requirements CORU-registered Medical Scientist.
Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.
Experience with ISO ***** standards (essential) and JCI hospital accreditation (desirable).
Previous experience in a hospital laboratory setting is preferable; laboratory experience in a non-clinical setting will also be considered.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Demonstrates enthusiasm, adaptability, and a cooperative attitude.
A strong team player with the ability to work independently using their own initiative.
