Job Title: Support Services Professional


Job Description

The primary role of this position is to deliver high-quality support and care services to individuals in day attendants settings. This involves ensuring that the needs of these individuals are consistently met, while upholding a high standard of care and support.

This will involve providing oversight and governance of assigned day services, managing day-to-day planning and activities, and leading a team within the assigned day service. It also includes providing staff supervision, maintaining effective communication with families and colleagues, and implementing operational plans as determined by Care Management.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality support and care services to individuals in day attendants settings
* Ensure the needs of these individuals are consistently met
* Provide oversight and governance of assigned day services
* Manage day-to-day planning and activities
* Lead a team within the assigned day service
* Provide staff supervision
* Maintain effective communication with families and colleagues
* Implement operational plans as determined by Care Management


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A CORU-approved Level 7 Degree in Social Care or current registration with CORU
* A strong commitment to the values of Stewarts Care to improve the lives of our service users
* The ability to work on your own initiative
* Experience of working with people with complex needs in various situations
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* High initiative and integrity
* Knowledge of all relevant legislation and New Directions standards, with a proven ability to implement same
* A genuine interest in supporting the rights and needs of people with an intellectual disability
